The first thing the doctor will perform after meeting with your eye doctor will be to inspect your eyes. In order to get a clear glance at your eyes, they’ll require you to stare directly at the picture without blinking.
The eye doctor will examine your eyes for distance. They will cover one eye at a given time and request you to read letters or numbers that are on the wall from a distance. They will then ask for you to close both eyes and read the text with one eye closed after every eye has been tested.
They will now be able to evaluate your near-up sight. This is an identical procedure to testing your vision distance, but you will be reading letters and numbers on a piece of paper in front of you that you’re holding.
